Thermo King TouchPrint Data Logger Offers Data Transparency for Increased Load Protection

Current and pending legislation in Europe places new expectations on producers, processors and transporters of temperature-sensitive cargo, including the need for traceability throughout the supply chain. To help meet these requirements, Thermo King, a manufacturer of transport temperature control solutions for a variety of mobile applications and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, introduces TouchPrint, the next generation of temperature recorders.

This innovative device offers advanced features focusing on accurate readings, flexible export options and an intuitive display. As a metrological instrument, TouchPrint complies with industry standards and provides the necessary transparency through the transport refrigeration industry required by current legislation.

Thermo King TouchPrint enables customers to have complete visibility of key events affecting cargo security, such as door openings or set-point changes. The new data logger offers enough processing power and memory to support a touch screen interface and a high speed thermal printer making the initial setup and the operation of data logging very straightforward.

“TouchPrint data logger is a compact, flexible and easy-to-use solution providing accurate readings and regulatory compliance,” said Michael Haguinet, telematics product manager for Europe at Thermo King. ”Featuring a clear user menu for ease of monitoring, retrieving and archiving of the valuable temperature measurements, the TouchPrint range offers a reliable and advanced solution for temperature controlled distribution.”

Key features include:

The modular approach of the one-for-all format makes the TouchPrint installation flexible as the fitting kits have been developed specifically to accommodate a trailer wall mount or a DIN slot insertion. The available serial port enables connectivity to other Telematics systems for remote monitoring of the TouchPrint sensors. Thermo King door switch and handheld probe are also compatible and out-of-range temperature alerts can be set up on any of the configurable input.

Thermo King TouchPrint has been homologated according to the DIN EN 12830 (Accuracy Class 1) standard and the European Cooperation in Legal Metrology Welmec 7.2. In addition, the currently available device has been granted the ‘E’ mark according to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Regulation No. 10 and every device comes with a calibration test report.
